Thank you for giving us some extra time to assemble our offer for your house. We have been looking to buy a house in the Berkeley area for nearly a year, and often been disappointed with what we have seen. After walking through your house, we breathed a collective sigh of relief. Clearly it was possible for a house to meet, and in this case exceed, all our wishes.

We have lived in the East Bay for 13 years, having both attended UC Berkeley and subsequently living in an Oakland loft. While the loft has treated us well, we have been longing for a house with a yard. Berkeley is very familiar to us and a place which we, to this day, still frequent on our bicycles. The idea of living there appeals enormously to us. We even tried out the commute on Monday, taking BART from San Francisco to Ashby after work and walking to the house.

One of our favorite past times is cooking together and in our opinion, the kitchen as you have remodeled it, thankfully leaves us with nothing more to do than start growing some vegetables in the yard and fire up the stove. The art deco flourishes both inside and out give the house a special character which we appreciate and thank you for doing. The tile work is distinctive and the fence has a quality above all others we have seen.

We are excited about this house like no other we have seen during our entire search and thank you for considering our offer.
